Numerical simulation of hardfacing remanufacturing for large-scale damaged grinding roller

The present study is directed to the temperature and residual stress fields in hardfacing remanufacturing for a large-scale grinding roller with damage. For this purpose, numerical procedure process based on thermal cycle curve method was established, effectiveness of proposed verified by measurements multi-pass welding experiment V-groove butt joint. A local model bead-on-plate used check heat source extract curve. resulting applied as load corresponding layer one one. Based calculated material properties, data files base metal (Grade:KmTBCr26) filling layers (Grade:ARCFCW9024) were re-developed define temperature-dependent physical mechanical properties materials remanufacturing. simulation results reveal changing trend distribution during damaged roller. very complicated due numerous process. It pointed out that increase layers, heat-affected zone expands gradually, maximum tensile always appears at position near weld toe, which prone fatigue failure or interface peeling concentration.
